Herefordshire
A low-slung 15th Century timber house with later additions and an ancient pollarded Salix were all that remained of this country landscape. Paul and the owners carefully restored the landscape to make a series of spaces that felt as though they had always been part of the fabric of the space. Clipped hornbeam hedges and wide planting enabled the garden to sit harmoniously with the house while a new drive and extensive re-imagining of the topography enabled the views to be brought into the garden.
